The Chain Knot

The chain lace has its inspiration drawn from a sailing knot that was used to shorten a rope.

Here is how you do it:

1. Make a loop in such a manner that the lace comes across the front.
2. Create a second loop.
3. Thread the second loop through the first one in such a way that it comes from the back.
4. Pull to tighten and secure the lace.
5. Repeat the process three times.
6. The lace's end should be tucked into the final loop at the end of each knot.
7. This should form a chain-like structure.
8. Tuck each end into each other.

The Fishtail Knot

The fishtail knot is known for giving boat shoes a contemporary look.

Here is how you do it:

1. Push the laces through the eyelets in a vertical position.
2. The laces should be crossed.
3. Each side of the lace should be over the loop on the opposite side.
4. Repeat the process from left to right three times.
5. Tighten the laces for a secure fit.
6. Trim any excess lace and tuck it behind each braid.

The Tassle Knot

It is believed that tassel knot is an extension or a renewed version of the barrel knot, and it is rightly so!

Here is how you do it:

1. Cross your laces in such a way to make a square knot by pushing them left over right and vice versa.
2. Form a loop while holding one lace.
3. Wrap the excess lap around the loop at least three times.
4. Tighten by tucking the end.

How to Relace Boot Laces?

Boots have a style to it, but that can fade over time. But what if we told you that you could customise them to give it a modernised look. This can be achieved by re-lacing your boot laces.

To do so, you will need the Sperry relacing kit and a scissor.

Here is how you do it:

1. With the kit as mentioned above, subside the lace's end.
2. Carefully place the end of the lace into a needle.
3. Lace through the bottom eyelet's inside on one side.
4. Pass the needle through each eyelet.
5. You can flatten the back to make the process easier.
6. Push the needle through the last eyelet on the bottom side.
7. Carefully remove the needle from the lace.
8. Give it a finished look by crossing the laces through the eyelets.
